Central bank: Russia’s trend inflation rises to 4.01% in November
MOSCOW, Dec 10 (PRIME) -- Russia’s trend inflation sped up to 4.01% in November from 3.93% in October, the central bank said in a statement on Thursday.
The trend inflation estimate was calculated for a five-year interval. An estimate for a shorter, three-year interval, increased by 0.21 percentage points to 3.92% in November.
“On one hand, a more moderate increase of consistent pricing pressure estimate as compared with the November CPI (consumer price index) shows the prevalence of temporary pro-inflationary factors in the current pricing dynamics,” the central bank said.
“On the other hand, the increase of trend inflation estimates and baseline inflation’s modified indicators in recent months may reflect a slight strengthening of the impact of longer-term pro-inflationary factors.”
